Prime rib roast Heat oven to 250 degrees. Season roast put in oven fat side up uncovered and roast for about 30 min. a pound. All roast vary in thickness and ovens vary in heat so a meat thermometer is recommended. When thermometer reached between 140 -150 degrees your roast is done. Let roast set for 15 min. before carving to let juices settle. 4-6 Ibs. 2-3 hours 6-8 Ibs. 3 - 4 hours 8-10 Ibs. 4 - 5 hours 10-12 Ibs. 5 - 6 hours 12-14 Ibs. 6 - 7 hours 14-16 Ibs. 7 - 8 hours 16-18 Ibs. 8 - 9 hoursĀ
